Why Cutting Traffic and Civil Fines at This Point in Time is the Right Thing to do.
Ask anyone who has been pulled over and been given a traffic citation how crummy of a feeling that is. Especially when fines can be $250 or more. When many people are feeling a penny pinch due to rising costs of living and inflation, that kind of money can mean having to cut groceries or forgo a vehicle repair. I recognize this fact, so I will lower fine amounts by 20-30%, in addition to providing community service options for repayment so people can donate their time versus their hard earned money.
